Long An Department of Natural Resources and Environment was established under Decision No. 2308/2003/QĐ-UB dated 27/6/2003 by the People's Committee of Long An Province based on the basis of the consolidation of Department of Land Administration and the functions of state management on natural resources, water, mineral resources, environment under the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Department of Industry, and Department of Science - Technology and Environment.
Long An Department of Natural Resources and Environment is a body of the Long An People’s Committee which helps the People’s Committee to carry out its State function of managing natural resources and environment including resources of land, water, mineral, environmental geology, hydrometeorology, measurement and mapping; as well as accommodate public services managed by the Department of Natural Resources and Environment
